Made with love and nutrient-packed, Grandma’s best dish is always a lingering part of our good memories, and our first lesson about our food culture. Photographer Gabriele Galimberti pays homage to all the grandmothers in the world and to their love for good cooking.
The Arezzo-born photographer started the project, ‘Delicatessen with love‘, with his own grandmother Marisa, who prepared for him a ravioli before Galimberti started his couchsurfing tour around the world. Curious about what other grandmothers would make for their grandchildren, he started documenting the kitchen work of these loving grandmothers, and went home with a cook book full of recipes that ‘mix love, photography, and travel amongst the many exotic ingredients.’

Its a huge part of my childhood food memory too – especially when I eat meat no more, it will forever only be in memory.
